Equine Services
A Farm Visit Consultation fee will apply to each call out. A Large Animal Consultation fee applies if you bring your horse to the clinic for treatment (this is a cost saving option).
At Curtis Street Vets we offer routine services for our Equine patients including the following:
- Hendra Vaccinations
- 2 in 1 Vaccinations (Tetanus and Strangles)
- Castrations
- Lameness work ups
- Colic
- Wound care, trauma and eye problems
- Equine Dentals using sedation and Powerfloat, including wolf teeth extractions
- Sheath Cleaning
- Foaling and reproductive assistance
- Parasite control
Our Hendra Policy
Our clinic has a strict policy in regards to Hendra Vaccinations; as we are located in a high-risk area.
Our team of friendly Vets will attend your horse if its Hendra Vaccine program is totally up to date. We always and easily check your horse’s Hendra Vaccination status using the Health4horses Registry online.

The Hendra Vaccination Schedule we require you to follow is summarised below:

Hendra vaccine is registered for use in horses 4 month of age or older. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety precautions will cost extra for the client. These are used at the Veterinarian’s discretion.
Failure to follow the tabled Vaccination Schedule above, will result in extra costs for you. These extra costs arise because your Hendra Vaccination program must be restarted plus PPE and safety equipment must be worn by all attendees.
Our clinic will only attend those sick horses that have followed our Hendra Vaccination Schedule tabled above.
